Comment
Saint Rupertus revived at the site of the ruins of an ancient city, the exploitation of salt and thus contributed to the creation of the city of Salzburg (699-700). St Virgilus, of Irish origin, abbot of Salzburg's St Peter's monastery, was bishop of the city (766-784).There is a variant with the value in roman numeral.
Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the 15 Kreuzers coin from the Bishopric of Salzburg is that it features a unique design element - a small shield with the letter "S" on the reverse side, which stands for "Salzburg." This shield was added to the coin's design to indicate its origin and authenticity, and it has become a distinctive feature of coins from this region.
