Comment

This type of coin is referred to as "Gouden Rijder" in Dutch.

An official restrike was produced at the Royal Dutch Mint in Utrecht in 1963.  It bears the normal (modern) mint mark and mintmaster's symbol of that mint.

Interesting fact

One interesting fact about the 14 Gulden "Gold Rider" coin from the Province of Holland (Dutch Republic) is that it was minted with a unique design that features a horseback rider on the obverse side, which is where the coin gets its name "Gold Rider." This design was meant to symbolize the power and wealth of the Dutch Republic during that time. Additionally, the coin was made of .920 gold and weighed 10 grams, making it a valuable and sought-after collector's item among numismatists today.
