While commonly attributed to Lebedos in Ionia, this has been rejected by some on the basis of style, types, and provenance. L. Robert places them at Larissa in Troas.

Interesting fact

The obverse (front) side of the coin features the image of a youthful Alexander the Great, wearing a lion's skin headdress and a royal diadem, which symbolizes his royal lineage and authority.
