Comment
Johan-George IV Elector of Saxony from 1691 to 1694, inherited the charge at the death of his father Johan-Georges III. He died at the age of 25, he is part of the Albertine branch (from the dividing of Saxony at the end of the 15th century between 2 brothers Ernest of Saxony).Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it was minted during a time of great economic and political change in the Holy Roman Empire. The reign of John George IV saw the introduction of a new coinage system, which aimed to stabilize the currency and combat inflation. The 1/24 Thaler coin was part of this effort, and its silver content and small denomination made it a widely used coin in everyday transactions.
