Interesting fact

The 12 Mariengroschen coin was minted during the reign of John Frederick, Duke of Brunswick-Lüneburg-Calenberg, and features an image of the Virgin Mary on one side, hence the name "Mariengroschen" which means "Marian groat" in German.
