The 1⁄12 Skilling coin was minted during the reign of King Charles XIV Johan, who was the King of Sweden and Norway from 1818 to 1844. The coin was part of a series of coins minted during his reign that featured a portrait of the king on one side and the coat of arms of Sweden on the other. The 1⁄12 Skilling coin was the smallest denomination in the series and was made of copper. It weighed 2.4 grams and had a diameter of 17.5 millimeters.
