Interesting fact
The obverse (front) side of the coin features a portrait of a king, possibly King Attalus II of Pergamon, who ruled the kingdom of Pergamon from 159 BC to 138 BC. The reverse (back) side of the coin depicts a seated Athena, the goddess of wisdom and war, holding a spear and a shield. The coin's design and imagery suggest that it was minted during a time of political and cultural influence from the Pergamon kingdom.
