Interesting fact
The Pattern 1000 Shillings coin was designed to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Uganda's independence from British colonial rule. The coin features the national emblem of Uganda, a crested crane, on one side, and the coat of arms of the country on the other. The coin was minted in 1994, but it was never officially released into circulation, making it a rare and sought-after collector's item among numismatists.
