Interesting fact

The 1000 Réis coin from Brazil, minted between 1924 and 1931, is notable for its unique design. It features a portrait of Brazil's first president, Deodoro da Fonseca, on one side, and the coat of arms of Brazil on the other. This coin was also the last of the 1000 Réis denomination to be issued, as it was later replaced by the 1 Cruzeiro coin in 1931.
