The eighth design in The Queen's Beasts series which began in 2016 with the Lion of England, there are a total of ten Beasts representing the statues that stood in Westminster Abbey on the Queen's Coronation in 1953. The original statues are now on display in the Canadian Museum of History at Gatineau, whilst James Woodford's sculpted replicas stand in the Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew, London.This Jody Clark reverse design was struck in a variety of base and precious metal compositions and denominations.
