Konrad Alexander Friedrich Duden (b. January 3, 1829, Lackhausen, Wesel; † August 1, 1911, Sonnenberg) was a Prussian grammar school teacher and lexicographer. Konrad Duden composed the "Duden", published on July 7, 1880, a German-language orthographic dictionary bearing his name, whose influence was decisive from the end of the 19th century on the standardization of spelling in the German-speaking world.
