When Liu Bei took Chengdu in 214, he was advised to issue 'value one hundred' coins. These coins are attributed to him because of that, which also means they were cast before Shu became an independent state.Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it features a unique square hole in the center, which was a distinctive feature of coins issued by the State of Shu during the Three Kingdoms period. This design was used to distinguish Shu coins from those of other states and to prevent counterfeiting.
