Interesting fact
The 100 Tögrög coin was introduced in 1994 as part of a new currency system in Mongolia, replacing the old Mongolian tögrög currency that had been in use since 1924. The coin features the national emblem of Mongolia on one side and the denomination and year of issue on the other. The coin was made of copper-nickel and had a diameter of 24mm. It was a significant change for the country, as it moved away from the traditional silver-based currency and adopted a more modern, decimal system.
