Comment

Kulan is a rare species of an animal from the horse family, the Latin name of the species is EQUUS HEMIONUS. It was first described in 1775. In Kazakhstan, the kulan was met on Ustyurt and Mangyshlak and disappeared by the 30s of the last century. In 1953, Turkmen kulans were brought to the island of Barsakelmes in the Aral Sea. Since 1982, work began on their acclimatization in the national park "Altyn-Emel", Betpak-Dala and in northern Aktau
