Date of issue: 10 APR 1997Yuri Dolgoruki, born in the 90th of the XIth century and died in 1157, was the founder of the city of Moscow, Duke of Suzdal and Great Duke of Kiev, the sixth son of Vladimir Monomakh. The statue was erected in 1954 by sculptors S.M. Orlov, A.P. Antropov, N.L. Stamm and by architect V.S. Andreyev.
