To the left and to the right from the frescos -miniatures of the XVIth century from the "Personal Annalistic Code": at the top - "Construction" and "A Visit to the Monastery", at (the bottom - "A Military Campaign" and "Icon-Painters".

Dionissy the Wise (1440-1502/1503) - a famous ancient Russian painter and an outstanding representative of the Moscow painting school. His iconostasis and wall-painting decorated the Cathedral of the Assumption in the Moscow Kremlin, the Monastery of the Christ' Ascension (Moscow), St. Joseph Volokolamsky, St. Pafnuty monasteries (near Moscow). thе Cathedral of the St. Virgin Nativity of the St. Ferapont Monastery situated in the northern part of Russia is well known in the world thanks to the Dionissy's wall - paintings preserved in the cathedral. The cathedral was decorated with wall-paintings by Dionissy and his two sons Vladimir and Feodossy during 34 days from August 6 till September 8, 1502. In 1989 the St. Ferapont Monastery painted by Dionissy's frescos was registered by UNESCO as the monument protected by the State.
