Date of issue: 18 MAR 1999A. S. Pushkin lived in the period when a verbal tale had prospered. He interested in the folk arts and created the new literary genre:the tale poem in which live fantastic bogatyrs (warriors in ancient Russia)and mermaids, formidable knights and magician, devils and Baba Yaga (a witch in Russian folk tales). The good is in the center of the fairy tale beauty and gains always victory over the evil.
