Comment
The Marajoara or Marajó was a native nation that inhabited the Marajó Island and the Amazon river in the Pre-Columbian era.Interesting fact
The 100 Réis coin was designed by Brazilian artist and sculptor, Benedito Calixto, who was known for his work in creating sculptures and monuments throughout Brazil. The coin features an image of a woman representing the Republic of Brazil, surrounded by a wreath of coffee and sugarcane, two of Brazil's most important crops at the time. The coin was minted from 1938 to 1942, and it was one of the last coins to be issued before Brazil switched to a new currency, the Cruzeiro, in 1942.
