The fifth design in The Queen's Beast series which began in 2016, there are 10 Beasts in total which are a representation of the statues that stood in Westminster Abbey on the Queen's Coronation in 1953. The statues are now on display in the Canadian Museum of History. For the Falcon of the Plantagenets there are varying metals, denominations and years of issue, which all share Jody Clark's design.
Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the coin is that it features a unique design, the Falcon of the Plantagenets, which is a symbol associated with the Plantagenet dynasty that ruled England from the 12th to the 15th century. The falcon is depicted perched on a fist, representing the power and strength of the monarchy. This design was specifically chosen to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the accession of Queen Elizabeth II to the throne.
