Interesting fact

The 100 Hwan coin was designed by renowned sculptor and artist, Kim Seok-ju, who is known for his works that reflect Korea's cultural heritage and history. The obverse of the coin features the portrait of Syngman Rhee, the first president of South Korea, while the reverse features the Taegeuk symbol, which represents the balance and harmony of yin and yang, and is a symbol of the Korean nation.
