Comment

It was only in 2007 that it became known that there were trial strikes of the 100 Franken coin, but probably no more than three! It differs from the normal circulation coins only on the reverse side (picture side with the coat of arms), by the length of the separation bars between the letters.

Interesting fact

The Pattern 100 Franken (Trial Strike short lines) 1955 from Saar (Germany) made of Copper-nickel weighing 6.06 g is a rare and unique coin, with only 10,000 pieces minted. It was created as a trial strike and features short lines on the obverse, which were not present on the regular issue coins. This makes it a highly sought-after collector's item among numismatists.
