A very rare trial of only 9 examples, 3 of which are known to CGB!
Interesting fact
The coin was designed by French sculptor and engraver, André-Henri Lavrillier, and features a portrait of a young woman on the obverse side, representing the allegory of France. The reverse side depicts a stylized image of a Gallic rooster, which is a national symbol of France. The coin was minted in 1929 as a trial piece, and only 50 examples were struck in gold, making it a highly sought-after collector's item among numismatists.
