Interesting fact
The 100 Francs CFA coin from the Republic of the Congo was designed by the French artist and engraver, Albert Decaris. Decaris was a well-known artist who designed many coins and stamps for various countries, and his work is highly regarded among numismatists and philatelists. The coin features a portrait of a Congolese woman on the obverse side, and a depiction of a lion on the reverse side. The coin was minted in 1971 and 1972, and it was used as legal tender in the Republic of the Congo until 1973, when it was replaced by a new currency.
