Interesting fact
The 100 Francs coin from Chad was designed by the French engraver and sculptor, Auguste C. L. B. C. (1884-1971). The obverse of the coin features a portrait of President François Tombalbaye, who served as the first president of Chad from 1960 until his assassination in 1975. The reverse of the coin features a depiction of a traditional Chadian village, with a prominent baobab tree in the center. The coin's designer, Auguste C. L. B. C., was known for his work on various coins and medals for different countries, including several African nations.
