On July 1, 1927, the Dominion of Canada celebrated 60 years of progress under the banner of Confederation. Festivities across the country reflected a growing sense of national pride and identity...evoked with splendor in an artifact from that long-ago era: the Canadian Confederation Diamond Jubilee Medal.Its art deco motif, reproduced here, makes it a choice component in the history of Canadian medals. On this 150th anniversary of Confederation, we pay tribute to a tradition of celebration by bringing up to date this object from another historic year, that of Canada's 60th birthday.
Packaging
The coin is encapsulated and presented in a burgundy double-shell case featuring the Royal Canadian Mint logo. The case is accompanied by a black protective box featuring the CANADA 150 logo.
