Reverse

The reverse: the mirror field in the shape of an equilateral cross in the diagonal corners of which there are ancient crosses images in the matted field. In the cross mirror field, in the centre in the background there are Novij Afon Monastery and the Star of Bethlehem images. In the foreground there is an image of St. Virgin Maria Icon (over-the-gate) in the centre, Simon Kanananios the Apostle image on the left and St. Panteleimon Healer on the right. Under the icon there is a uncial inscription of the monastery name and the laying of the foundation stone date. The coin elements, such as the icon, the dome and the nimbi are made in colour by pad printing and selected gold-plating.
