Interesting fact

The 10 Zlotys coin featuring Adam Mickiewicz, issued between 1975 and 1977, was the first coin in Poland to feature a non-communist design after the fall of communism in 1989. The coin's design, which features a portrait of Mickiewicz on the obverse and the Polish coat of arms on the reverse, was created by sculptor and engraver, Józef Aumiller. This coin was also the first to be minted in Poland after the country regained its independence in 1989.
