The plains zebra (Equus quagga), is also known as the common zebra or Burchell's zebra.

Julius Nyerere: Tanzanian politician, founding father of Tanzania, President of Tanzania from the date of the country's foundation, in 1964, until his retirement, in 1985. He is considered one of the greatest historical figures of the Twentieth Century and one of the two most important personalities of modern Africa together with Nelson Mandela.

The 10 Senti coin from Tanzania was designed by the Tanzanian artist, J.S. Mwanyika. The coin features a portrait of Julius Nyerere, the first president of Tanzania, on the obverse side, and a depiction of a traditional Tanzanian hut on the reverse side. The coin was minted from 1977 to 1984 and was made of nickel brass, weighing 5.03 grams.
