Rattanakosin era, Rama III Krut Sio (facing left). These pot duang were issued by Rama III to commemorate the cremation of his father King Rama II. These are the only pot duang known to have been issued in the denomination of ten- salung (2½ baht), although flat gold coins were later issued in this denomination. A metal analysis indicates a silver content of 96-99% with the other elements being copper and lead with traces of gold. There are five die varieties of ten-salung pot duang bearing the Krut Sio face-mark.Source: Siamese Coins, From Funan to the Fifth Reign; Ronachai Krisadaolarn & Vasilijs Mihailovs, River Books Co. 2012
