On the 1st of October 1960, A Presidential decree was issued to change the common circulated coins design by replacing the Sphinx by the republican coat of arms :Saladin's Eagle.

1966 - Non Circulated Mint Proof Coin
In 1966 a mint proof commemorative Eagle set was minted which included a sealed 7 Eagle coins including this coin

Interesting fact

One interesting fact about the 10 Qirsh coin from Egypt, minted between 1960 and 1966, is that it features an image of the Egyptian king, Farouk I, on one side, while the other side bears an image of the Eye of Providence, a symbol associated with divine providence and protection.
