Interesting fact

One interesting fact about this coin is that it features a unique portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by sculptor Ian Rank-Broadley. This fourth portrait of the Queen was introduced in 2000 and features a more mature and regal image of the monarch, with a slightly different crown and a more defined jawline. This portrait was used on many British coins until 2015, when it was replaced by a new fifth portrait.
