Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it was issued as a form of emergency currency, known as "notgeld," during a time of economic crisis in Germany following World War I. The City of Schweinfurt, where the coin was issued, was experiencing severe inflation and a shortage of small denomination coins, leading to the creation of these unique notes. The coin's design features the city's coat of arms and the names of the mayor and city council members at the time.
