In the beginning, the primary objective of the company was the production of gasoline engines and multi-fuel engines. Twelve years after the foundation of the company, Anton Schlüter acquired his own foundry. It was located in Freising, a town near Munich.
Interesting fact
The Anton Schlüter Motorenfabrik, which is featured on the reverse side of the coin, was a historic motorcycle factory located in Freising, Bavaria. The factory was founded in 1899 and produced motorcycles until 1929, when it was closed due to financial difficulties. Today, the building where the factory was located houses a museum dedicated to the history of motorcycles and the Anton Schlüter brand.
