On Economy International Event '98 hosted at Havanna, Cuba, was decided to continue organizing international meetings on following years.

So far, 5 Meetings happened on 18/01/1999, 24/01/2000, 29/01/2001, 11/02/2002, 10/02/2003, 09/02/2004, 07/02/2005, 06/02/2006, 05/02/2007, 03/03/2008, 02/03/2009, 04/03/2003, 23/11/2015 and 14/11/2023. Only the 13th. edition (2015) was held outside Cuba, at Panama; all the others at Conventions Palace, Havanna.

Cuban minthouse issued coins for the 3 first Meetings. Since the design is the same, all 3 are included in same page, in spite of Krause gave them 3 different catalog #s.

Interesting fact

One interesting fact about this coin is that it was minted to commemorate the first International Economists Meeting, which was held in Havana, Cuba in 1999. The coin's design features an image of the Earth, symbolizing globalization and the interconnectedness of the world's economies. The coin's silver content and limited mintage make it a valuable collector's item for numismatists and enthusiasts of Cuban currency.
