One of twenty-six 10 pence coins in the Quintessentially British A to Z collection featuring a different letter to represent and celebrate different British landmarks and traditions.The brainchild of novelist Ian Fleming, James Bond is the ultimate hero. Since his creation in 1953, Bond has been the idol for many men and women, defining what it means to be ‘cool’. Bond first appeared on our screens in 1962 in the classic inaugural film, Dr No. Now some 56 years later, 007 is still our favourite secret agent, and with a new cinematic adventure on the horizon for 2019, we can’t wait.

Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the coin is that it features a unique design depicting James Bond, the famous fictional character created by Ian Fleming, on the reverse side. This design was created to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the James Bond film franchise. The coin's obverse side features the standard portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, as is customary for coins issued by the United Kingdom.
