Comment
One of twenty-six 10 pence coins in the Quintessentially British A to Z collection featuring a different letter to represent and celebrate different British landmarks and traditions. According to legend, King Arthur lived in the mythical city of Camelot and formed a Round Table of some 150 knights. His existence has been widely debated, all that is known, with even the least degree of certainty, is that a man named Arthur, or Arturus, led a band of heroic warriors who spearheaded the resistance of Britons against the invading Saxons, Jutes, and others from the north of Europe, sometime in the fifth and sixth centuries AD.From the Royal Mint website for 2019: "There is an unlimited mintage set against the collectable Uncirculated Great British Coin Hunt A-Z 2019 10p coins made. However, 2.1 million circulating versions of the coins will be released into circulation from February 2019."
As well as being issued for circulation the 2018 coin was available to purchase individually and in a complete folder (37,992 sales) with all 26 designs, the design was also struck in silver proof.

Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it features a unique reverse design depicting King Arthur, a legendary British leader, surrounded by the inscription "King Arthur" and the year of issue, 2018-2019. This design was created by sculptor and coin designer, Jody Clark, and it's the first time that King Arthur has been featured on a UK coin.
