Interesting fact

The 10 Đồng coin from South Vietnam was designed by artist Nguyễn Đức Thọ, who also designed several other coins and banknotes for South Vietnam during the 1960s and 1970s. Thọ's design for the 10 Đồng coin features a portrait of a young woman wearing a traditional Vietnamese hat and carrying a sheaf of rice, symbolizing the country's agricultural heritage and its commitment to rural development. The coin's reverse side features the national emblem of South Vietnam, which includes a dragon and a phoenix, representing the country's mythical past and its aspirations for a prosperous future.
