Interesting fact
The 10 Naye Paise coin was introduced in 1957 and was the first coin to feature the national emblem of India, which is a lion standing on the Ashoka Chakra, a wheel with 24 spokes. This emblem was adopted as the national symbol of India after independence from British rule in 1947. The coin was minted until 1963, and it's interesting to note that the design of the coin has remained unchanged throughout its production run.
