Comment
After the establishment of United Arab Republic between Egypt and Syria on February the 22nd 1958 AD, the government issued 10 milliemes coins without the word Misr (مصر) [translated as Egypt].Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it was minted during a time of significant political and social change in Egypt. In 1958, the country was still recovering from the aftermath of the Suez Crisis, which had led to the overthrow of the monarchy and the establishment of a republic. The coin's design, which features an image of a farmer and a factory worker on the obverse, and the Arabic inscription "10 Milliemes" on the reverse, reflects the government's focus on promoting agriculture and industry as part of its development efforts.
