Comment

The Kampfgruppen der Arbeiterklasse (KdA), in English Combat Groups of the Working Class, was the paramilitary organization of the ruling socialist party (Sozialistische Einheitspartei Deutschlands, SED) of the German Democratic Republic. The coin celebrates the 30th anniversary of the organization's establishment.

Interesting fact

One interesting fact about the Non-circulating coin 10 Mark (Kampfgruppen) 1983 from German Democratic Republic (Germany) made of Nickel brass weighing 12 g is that it was minted to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the founding of the German Democratic Republic (GDR). The coin features an image of a group of soldiers on the obverse (front side) and the coat of arms of the GDR on the reverse (back side). The coin was only produced in a small quantity, making it a rare and valuable collector's item for numismatists.
