The ancient land. The world as it was once conceived: a sphere cut in half, with the earth below, flat and centered on the Mediterranean, and above the Celestial Vault from whose holes, or rather the stars, filtered the light of the Infinite.

Interesting fact

The 10 Lire coin from San Marino, issued in 1999, features an image of the ancient Sammarinese settlement of Acquaviva on its obverse side. Acquaviva is one of the nine original castles that make up the microstate of San Marino, and it is believed to have been founded in the 4th century AD. The coin's design serves as a nod to San Marino's rich history and cultural heritage.
