Interesting fact
The obverse of the coin features the portrait of a young woman, representing the allegory of the Romanian people, surrounded by a wreath of wheat ears and a legend that translates to "Romanian People's Republic." The reverse of the coin depicts the Romanian coat of arms, which consists of a golden eagle holding a shield with the colors of the Romanian flag (blue, yellow, and red) and a crown on top, surrounded by a wreath of laurel leaves. The coin's design was created by the Romanian artist and engraver, Florin Codre.
