Interesting fact

The Cucuteni Băiceni Hoard, which is featured on the 10 Lei coin from Romania, is considered one of the most important archaeological discoveries of the 20th century. It is a collection of 235 gold objects, including vessels, jewelry, and coins, that date back to the 4th millennium BC. The hoard was discovered in 1965 in the village of Băiceni, in the Cucuteni region of Romania, and is believed to have been buried by a prehistoric culture known as the Cucuteni-Trypillian culture. The hoard is now housed at the National Museum of Romanian History in Bucharest.
