The coin is dedicated to the Eurasian black vulture (Falconiformes order, Accipitridae family), the sole species which in Ukraine nests only in the Southern Crimea. The natural habitat of this species covers Southern Europe and Asia (mountain regions). Black vulture is included to the Red Book of Ukraine and the European Red List of animals and plants under the danger of extermination.Interesting fact
