Reverse
The reverse of the coin features in the foreground the sculpture of Niké, the goddess of Victory, a symbol dear to Hellenistic Greece. Embellished with wings and drapery, this statue, here without arms or head, descended to earth to honor the victor, according to legend.
The columns in the background may also refer to the room in which the monument is displayed at the Louvre Museum. They also symbolize the columns of the Pantheon in Athens, a landmark of ancient Greece.
