Comment

To mark the celebration of the 250th Anniversary of the Royal School of Artillery based in Segovia, the Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre-Real Casa de la Moneda issued a commemorative collector coin which bears legends and motifs dedicated to this emblematic institution and to the building that gave it shelter.

Interesting fact

The Royal School of Artillery 10 Euro coin from Spain, made of Silver (.925) and weighing 27g, features an interesting design. The obverse side of the coin depicts King Felipe VI, while the reverse side features a representation of a Spanish artillery officer from the 18th century, along with a cannon and other military equipment. This design was chosen to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Royal School of Artillery, which was founded in 1764 and is one of the oldest military academies in Spain.
