Comment
On January 1, 2006, twenty years have passed since Portugal and Spain signed the Treaty of Accession to the European Communities.
For the first time, the Mint Houses of Portugal and Spain make an issue with a common theme, consisting of two coins minted in proof quality, whose reverse, of identical design, represent the brotherhood between both countries.
The certificate states that a maximum of 12,000 coins of each of the two coins (Spanish and Portuguese bearing common visual features) were minted, of which 4,000 were sold together in a joint collector’s box.
