Comment

Throughout the 18th century, the island of Menorca passed alternately from the Spanish Crown to the English Crown, as a consequence of the wars between the two countries. On March 25, 1802, Menorca will definitely form part of Spanish territory with the signing of the Peace Treaty of Amiens signed between Spain and England.
The year 2002 marks the 200th anniversary of the incorporation of Menorca into the Spanish Crown, commemorating such an event through the minting and issuance of coins that reproduce the moment of delivery of the island.
