Interesting fact
The Concorde was a supersonic jet that could travel at speeds up to Mach 2.04 (1,354 mph or 2,180 km/h), making it the fastest commercial airliner in the world. It was designed and built by a consortium of French and British companies, and it made its first flight on March 2, 1969. The coin was issued to commemorate the 50th anniversary of this historic event.
