Interesting fact
The Wignacourt Aqueduct, which is featured on the 10 Euro coin from Malta, was actually built in the 17th century to transport water from the north of the island to Valletta, the capital city. It was an impressive feat of engineering at the time, spanning over 10 kilometers in length and featuring several large arches and bridges. Today, the aqueduct is still standing and is considered a national treasure and a testament to Malta's rich history and cultural heritage.
